Pour ma part, lorsque M. Matias, Adjoint \u00e0 la culture m\u2019a inform\u00e9 de cette catastrophe en cours, je me suis rendu sur place pour comprendre, aider si possible et analyser la port\u00e9e d\u2019un tel sinistre. Une fois l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement pass\u00e9 et apr\u00e8s avoir touch\u00e9 du doigt la catastrophe bien plus gigantesque que nous aurions subie si les pompiers n\u2019avaient pas r\u00e9ussi, au p\u00e9ril de leur vie, \u00e0 stopper l\u2019incendie avant qu\u2019il ne d\u00e9vore le beffroi, j\u2019en retiens que si nous voulons \u00eatre utiles, il faut tout mettre en oeuvre pour prot\u00e9ger notre patrimoine, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 nous sommes, avant que la fatalit\u00e9 ne le d\u00e9truise d\u2019une fa\u00e7on ou d\u2019une autre.C\u2019est pourquoi je me dis que la politique que nous avons men\u00e9e \u00e0 Linas depuis 25 ans pour sauvegarder, petit \u00e0 petit notre \u00e9glise, au rythme de nos capacit\u00e9s financi\u00e8res sans ob\u00e9rer les autres priorit\u00e9s de la commune, \u00e9tait la bonne. Les Linois ont chaque jour devant leurs yeux une des plus belles \u00e9glises du d\u00e9partement, restaur\u00e9e au terme de 20 ans de travaux. Nous avons pr\u00e9vu la derni\u00e8re tranche en 2020 et 2021. On prend conscience de l\u2019importance de ce patrimoine et des racines ancestrales auquel il est rattach\u00e9 lorsque la toiture mill\u00e9naire de la plus importante cath\u00e9drale de France est an\u00e9antie en quelques heures. Les Linois doivent \u00eatre fiers de leur \u00e9glise restaur\u00e9e ; il y a tellement de monuments \u00e0 l\u2019abandon en France et tellement d\u2019\u00e9glises comme la n\u00f4tre qui disparaissent chaque ann\u00e9e. Telle un roc dans une \u00e9poque temp\u00e9tueuse, notre \u00e9glise doit repr\u00e9senter ce que sont et ont toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 les Linois : des femmes et des hommes accueillants comme leur \u00e9glise, rayonnants comme leur \u00e9glise, prodigieux, \u00e9clatants comme leur \u00e9glise. Plus prosa\u00efquement, j\u2019ai demand\u00e9 aux services techniques de la commune et \u00e0 notre Architecte en Chef des Monuments Historiques de v\u00e9rifier et compl\u00e9ter, si besoin, le syst\u00e8me d\u2019alarme incendie\u2013d\u00e9gradations-vols, qui prot\u00e8ge notre \u00e9glise et ses tr\u00e9sors. En d\u00e9rogation aux normes, je prends \u00e9galement sur moi de vous faire visiter la \u201cfor\u00eat\u201d de l\u2019\u00e9glise de Linas aux habitants de la commune qui doivent conna\u00eetre ce lieu impressionnant et pourtant ferm\u00e9 au public. Je vous invite \u00e0 vous signaler aupr\u00e8s de mon secr\u00e9tariat pour visiter un samedi matin la charpente de notre \u00e9glise et vous pourrez \u00e0 cette occasion voir comment sont \u00e9rig\u00e9s l\u2019ensemble des vo\u00fbtes, charpentes et vaisseaux de cet \u00e9difice et comprendre ce qu\u2019il s\u2019est pass\u00e9 \u00e0 Notre-Dame de Paris.
