Une directrice d’\u00e9cole avait annul\u00e9 sa venue, le maire refuse de c\u00e9der \u00e0 la pol\u00e9mique. Le maire de Montargis a tranch\u00e9 : le P\u00e8re No\u00ebl n’oubliera pas les petits souliers des enfants de l’\u00e9cole maternelle des Grands Clos. Une pol\u00e9mique sur l’annulation du passage du grand barbu dans sa robe rouge avait alors\u00a0agit\u00e9 la commune .<\/p>\n

Alors que le P\u00e8re No\u00ebl devait passer, comme tous les ans, dans les classes un petit mot laiss\u00e9 dans les cahiers des enfants a offusqu\u00e9 les parents. La directrice de l’\u00e9tablissement y annon\u00e7ait que\u00a0l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nement\u00a0\u00e9tait annul\u00e9 par “respect des diff\u00e9rentes croyances et des valeurs de l’\u00e9cole la\u00efque”. Intol\u00e9rable pour les parents d’\u00e9l\u00e8ves. Ils se sont donc plaints \u00e0 la mairie, d\u00e9non\u00e7ant “les pressions d’une dizaine de familles musulmanes”.<\/p>\n

Une communication maladroite<\/h3>\n

Pour le maire adjoint \u00e0 l’enseignement et enfance qui les a re\u00e7us, la directrice a en effet fait preuve de maladresse. “On aurait simplement dit que cette ann\u00e9e, le P\u00e8re No\u00ebl ne fait pas partie des orientations p\u00e9dagogiques, personne ne s’en serait \u00e9mu. Mais invoquer ‘le respect des diff\u00e9rentes croyance’, c’est une erreur d’appr\u00e9ciation”, a convenu \u00a0Jean-Paul Fonteneau. En quoi le P\u00e8re No\u00ebl ne respecte-t-il pas les diff\u00e9rentes croyances ?”, s’est-il insurg\u00e9. Il a ainsi rappel\u00e9 qu’il est f\u00eat\u00e9 “dans un grand nombre de pays sans que cela ne trouble les convictions de quiconque”. “La directrice a peut-\u00eatre voulu trop bien faire. Et en voulant trop bien faire, on fait mal”, a ajout\u00e9 l’\u00e9lu.<\/p>\n

Le maire de Montargis, Jean-Pierre Door, s’est lui aussi indign\u00e9 de cette d\u00e9cision dans une lettre \u00e0 la directrice. Il d\u00e9nonce “un contre-sens total (…) reposant sur de pr\u00e9tendus rejets de comportements confessionnalistes”. Selon lui, il n’y a “aucun caract\u00e8re religieux dans l’image du P\u00e8re No\u00ebl”. Il souligne “bien au contraire que le caract\u00e8re parfaitement profane de cette image est av\u00e9r\u00e9 et proc\u00e8de d’une tradition \u00e0 laquelle nous sommes attach\u00e9s”.<\/p>\n

De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, l’inspection acad\u00e9mique de Montargis parle de “maladresse” de la directrice de cette \u00e9cole. Elle \u00e9voque pour sa part des “raisons financi\u00e8res et p\u00e9dagogiques” pour expliquer ce changement de programme.<\/p>\n

Le maire a alors tent\u00e9 d’\u00e9teindre la pol\u00e9mique en assurant que le P\u00e8re No\u00ebl passerait bien dans cette \u00e9cole. “Pas question de c\u00e9der aux pressions”, a-t-il tonn\u00e9. “Tous les enfants auront le droit \u00e0 leur No\u00ebl.”<\/p>\n

L’an dernier, une dizaine d’enfants avait manqu\u00e9 les cours le jour o\u00f9 le P\u00e8re No\u00ebl \u00e9tait pass\u00e9 dans les classes.<\/p>\n
