C’est sans doute la seule commune de France dans ce cas de figure. Priv\u00e9e d’\u00e9glise pour des raisons historiques et cadastrales, la petite cit\u00e9 de Saint-Martin- des-Champs (5.000habitants), pr\u00e8s de Morlaix en Bretagne, vient d’h\u00e9riter d’une mosqu\u00e9e. Une histoire digne de Clochemaires\u2026<\/p>\n

Saint-Martin-des-Champs, sa salle de spectacles (le Roudour), sa grande surface (G\u00e9ant Bretagnia), son centre \u00e9vang\u00e9lique protestant, et depuis une semaine… sa\u00a0mosqu\u00e9e<\/a>. Install\u00e9 \u00e0 une centaine de m\u00e8tres de la Cit\u00e9 du viaduc, le lieu de culte, ouvert par l’association Tisalam (Maison de la paix), a investi, en location, une b\u00e2tisse de 400m\u00b2, longtemps occup\u00e9e par les Chiffonniers de la joie. Aux abords directs de la ville de Morlaix mais sur un axe plus facile d’acc\u00e8s et surtout, moins urbanis\u00e9 que dans l’hyper-centre.<\/p>\n

Et voil\u00e0 que, sans le vouloir, la \u00abpetite\u00bb cit\u00e9 saint-martinoise (5.032 habitants au 1erjanvier) rend un fier service \u00e0 la \u00abgrande\u00bb soeur morlaisienne. C’est aupr\u00e8s de la ville de Morlaix, en effet, que Ti salam avait d\u00e9pos\u00e9 une demande de premier permis de construire, en mars dernier. Permis retoqu\u00e9 par la sous-pr\u00e9fecture mais qui avait, entre-temps, g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 inqui\u00e9tude et \u00e9moi dans la population. S’il ne peut s’opposer \u00ab\u00e0 la libert\u00e9 de culte\u00bb, le maire saint-martinois Ren\u00e9 Fily pointe aujourd’hui une n-i\u00e8me ironie de l’histoire. \u00ab\u00c0\u00a0Saint-Martin-des-Champs<\/a>, on est presque aussi oecum\u00e9nique que dans la communaut\u00e9 de Taiz\u00e9! Les Augustines (propri\u00e9taires de la chapelle Saint-Fran\u00e7ois de Cuburien et de Notre-Dame de la Salette) sont sur notre territoire depuis le MoyenAge. Nous avons accueilli un centre \u00e9vang\u00e9lique protestant dans une ancienne \u00e9cole publique, en 1994. Aujourd’hui, c’est une\u00a0mosqu\u00e9e<\/a>. Et dire que pendant ce temps-l\u00e0, la commune ne dispose m\u00eame pas d’une seule \u00e9glise!\u00bb. Cette incongruit\u00e9 pas catholique, la commune, jadis exclusivement rurale, la doit \u00e0 la R\u00e9volution fran\u00e7aise: dessin\u00e9es apr\u00e8s 1790, les fronti\u00e8res communales pr\u00e9sentent depuis lors quelques bizarreries aux cons\u00e9quences parfois f\u00e2cheuses. Parmi elles: la localisation de l’\u00e9glise. Coeur de l’ancienne paroisse \u00abSaint-Martin\u00bb, l’\u00e9difice du XVesi\u00e8cle est, en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, bien plus proche de la mairie saint-martinoise que de celle de Morlaix, dont il d\u00e9pend. Les Saint-Martinois l’ont toujours fr\u00e9quent\u00e9e et depuis 1989, les deux communes se partagent, d’ailleurs, \u00e0 part \u00e9gale les frais d’investissement de l’\u00e9glise, situ\u00e9e place… Saint-Martin !<\/p>\n

H\u00e9riti\u00e8re de la grande Histoire,\u00a0Saint-Martin-des-Champs<\/a>-qui rappelle avoir \u00e9galement perdu pendant dix longues ann\u00e9es son \u00absaint\u00bb- n’a donc pas fini de commenter la \u00abpetite\u00bb histoire du jour. Celle d’une\u00a0mosqu\u00e9e<\/a>\u00a0en zone n\u00e9orurale et d’une centaine de fid\u00e8les annonc\u00e9s. \u00abJ’accepte la situation. Mais je suis tout de m\u00eame surpris par la rapidit\u00e9 avec laquelle les choses se sont faites\u00bb, termine, \u00e0 ce propos, le premier magistrat de\u00a0Saint-Martin-des-Champs<\/a>. \u00abLa salle de pri\u00e8re aurait d\u00fb, comme tout lieu accueillant du public, faire l’objet d’une d\u00e9claration publique pr\u00e9alable en mairie, en bonne et due forme. La proc\u00e9dure n’a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 totalement respect\u00e9e. C’est un peu l\u00e9ger et je vais le signifier…\u00bb.<\/p>\n
